Touchstone electric fireplaces are once again featured in HGTV’s 100 Day Dream Home, hosted by husband and wife team Mika and Brian Kleinschmidt. Realtor Mika and developer Brian join forces to design and build homes tailored to their clients’ needs in a tight 100-day timeframe. In Season 4 Episode 6, “9 Labs Under One Woof,” dog owners Laurie and David want a single-story coastal farmhouse style home with an open floor plan and lots of space for their nine adult Labrador Retrievers in the Tampa, Florida area.

Custom Fireplace Accent Wall by Grace Customs

The talented central Florida builder, Grace Customs created the shiplap fireplace accent wall, with the perfect opening for the Touchstone Sideline 50 insert. The dramatic dark gray color showcases the beautiful flames and 20-foot seamless ceiling beam, also built by Grace Customs.

Speaking of drama, the fireplace’s arrival is the cliffhanger of the show. At the very last minute, the team realizes the fireplace glass has been damaged in transit. The Touchstone team ensures the replacement fireplace arrives just in time for the big reveal. Designed for quick installation, the Sideline 50 easily fits into the opening, and is plugged into the electrical outlet and mounted to the wall in minutes.

Pro Tip: Don’t wait until Day 99 of the 100 Day build to check your materials. Immediately check your items for damage when they arrive. Fragile items like glass shower doors, windows, mirrors and appliances require extra TLC during the build. In the very rare event of damage in transit, Touchstone will replace the damaged item when reported right away, upon receipt.
